Usability Testing
Usability test is a behavioral lab test that maps both qualitative and quantitative usability issues of the UX. The test is based on a behavioral analysis of the performance of users who represent the target audience of the interface, while they perform pre-defined usage scenarios. All actions and responses of the participants are recorded and documented; the findings are analyzed by our UI experts, according to behavioral models.
Conducting a usability testing entail:
- Defining the target audience and selecting the participants
- Recording and documenting all participants actions and responses and analyzing them using behavioral models
- Testing different aspects of the user interface such as: information organization and prioritization, navigation processes, labeling, interaction design, etc.
- Exploring usability issues that are related to the graphic design
The usability test can be conducted either for an existing user interface, or during a new UI design project.
